Golden Globe Award Winners 1944 - The 1st

The Hollywood Foreign Press Associations (HFPA) annual Golden Globe Awards started in the early 1940's by a group of journalists wishing to cover all aspects of world entertainment. Today the members of the assocation represent about 55 countries and have a readership of more than 250 million. The association contribute to other non profit organisations within the industry and promote the arts.  

The 1st awards ceremony was held at 20th Century Fox Studios in LA.

Best Picture was The Song of Bernadette
