The Sound of Music

(1949)

Originally a Broadway musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein, starring Mary Martin, Larry Hagman's mother and Theodore Bikel. The Sound of Music film starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer was a story about The Von Trapp family set in Salzburg during the second world war. The musical was based on Baron Maria von Trapps memoirs.
