A sickly child
A few days before his 7th birthday, Ringo was admitted to Children's Hospital with appendicitis. His appendix was removed, but he developed life threatening peritonitis and fell into a coma for 3 days. While he was recovering from that he fell out of his hospital bed, hit his head and knocked himself unconscious. At 13 he was hospitalised with Pleurisy. Shortly after that, in 1952, he came down with Tuberculosis!
