His name, Christopher Robin, was used for the name of the boy in his father's world famous books.  Indeed the characters in The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh were all inspired by his very own stuffed toys.

As a boy he said he quite liked being Christopher Robin and being famous... "There were indeed times . . . when it was exciting and made me feel grand and important."  However as he grew older and the books became more and more famous he came to resent his background.  He once wrote "It seemed to me almost that my father had got to where he was by climbing upon my infant shoulders, that he had filched from me my good name and had left me with the empty fame of being his son."
