Formed AC/DC with his brother Malcolm in 1973, releasing their first album in 1975.  The band hit the big time with their album Highway to Hell in 1979.

When he performs with ACDC, Young always wears his trademark school uniform.  The story goes that he didn't have time to change out of it between leaving school and going to gigs.  As enjoyable as this story is, the truth is that his sister Margaret suggested the uniform after he had tried a number of different costumes for the stage - Spiderman, Zorro and a gorilla suit were some of the discarded ideas.
