Started acting in 2001 when he played former basketball star Jimmy Brooks in Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Drake's Dad, Dennis Graham, was a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis and he has an uncle, Larry Graham, who played bass guitar for Prince.

Released his first mixed tape called Room for improvement in 2006 followed by Comeback Season a year later.  He went on to found his own record label called OVO.  It was 2 years later in 2009 when he achieved his first hit single "Best I Ever had" which reached no.2 in the the Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart and was ranked in Rolling Stone's 25 best songs of 2009.

Released his first studio album in 2010 entitled Thank Me Later which went in at number one in both the US and Canadian charts.  

Made history by winning 13 BMMA awards in one night, the most any artist has won at the show in a single night in 2017.

Was the voice of Ethan the young mammoth in Ice Age: Continental Drift in 2012
