A Criminal Connection
In September 1968, Delon's former secretary and bodyguard Stefan Markovic was found dead in a sack on a rubbish dump. He had been shot in the head, and then severely beaten in an effort to disguise the bullet wound. Delon was questioned when a letter was found, supposedly written by Markovic to his brother, stating ""If I get killed, it's 100% the fault of Alain Delon and his godfather François Marcantoni". However, no charges were brought.
