Won her first talent competition when she was 5, recorded her first album when she was just 11 and at 14 she became the youngest artist to receive the Grammy award for Best New Artist (1997).
LeAnn's breakthrough album 'Blue" sold over 8 millions copies, leading her to received 5 Billboard Awards and two Grammies including Best New Artist. She was only 13 years old at the time. The following year she was named the biggest selling recording artist in the US.
In 2000, Rimes sued her father and Lyle Walker, her former manager, for taking over $7 million from her. The suit was settled but the terms were undisclosed.
2015: To date LeAnn as received an American Music Award, two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and twelve Billboard Music Awards and has sold overf 37 million albums.
